Hoyoverse announced in a livestream the version 4.5 of Genshin Impact, they have taken the opportunity to share what’s coming with the patch, the next update will arrive on March 13

Genshin Impact Version 4.5

The first important reveal is actually a confirmation of a rumor that has been circulating for quite sometime. There was talk that a new type of banner would come to Genshin Impact, adding to the permanent banner and the two promotional ones that are active at any time.

It is now confirmed that there is indeed a new type of Genshin Impact banner: Chronicle Wish. This is a “regional” banner, meaning it will contain characters from the region the banner if focused on. The first regional banner it will launch with the 5-star characters from Mondstadt.

Other announcements including a showcase of upcoming events and quality of life changes, as well as the new character Chiori, a 5-star Geo sword user. This patch will not add huge new areas, but it will be filled with events to satisfy your hunger for content.

A New Special Banner: Chronicled Wish

This Chronicled Wish banner will contain 5-star characters from a specific region, and in this version it will be from Mondstadt, it will also contain eleven 5-star weapons, including Hunter’s Path and Wolf’s Gravestone.

The characters and weapons of five stars from that region:

To try to get a specific character or weapon, you can choose it on the path, which will guarantee you that the second 5-star reward you obtain will be the one you have selected. The wishes needed for this banner are the promotional ones, that is, the most valuable ones.

The promotional 5-star characters Eula, Klee, and Albedo may continue to appear in promotional banners. It’s important to note that while the point of the path will not be cumulative in the next regional banner, the wishes will be.

New Character – Chiori

The only new character coming to Genshin Impact Version 4.5 is Chiori, the seamstress from Chioriya Boutique. We met Chiori before during the flagship event of version 4.3, Roses and Muskets, during which she was a costume designer. Now, she moves from being an NPC to being a fully playable character.

Chiori is a 5-star Geo Sword user who summons dolls to deal with Geo damage outside of the field. The number of dolls she can create depends on how many Geo constructs are on the field, suggesting possible synergies with other Geo characters like Geo Traveler, Ningguang, Zhongli, Albedo, or Itto. Her damage increases with ATK and DEF stats, which could lead to interesting setups.

Genshin Impact New Events March 2024

The new event is called Alchemical Ascension will feature a new NPC who appears to be a wandering merchant, likely specializing in potions, which will allow for players to participate in minigames to create potions from different materials.

This management simulator takes place in Mondstadt, where you set up a shop to craft and sell alchemical potions. Completing this event will reward you with the 4-star polearm weapon “Wisdom of the Desert” as well as another mysterious item called “Exalted Earth”.

There’s also a new featured called Feline Fortress Furrdyssey that allows you to take care of and pet cats. This could make 4.5 my favorite Genshin patch of all time.

Another new minigame is called Rolling Crossfire, where players shoot elemental rounds at Slimes on a board, causing reactions to eliminate them.

The Great Fayz Reaction Debate sees the return of Fayz Potions’ time-stopping mechanic. The developers have mentioned there’s a different twist to it this time, so it won’t be exactly as before.

Leyline Overflow will close Version 4.5 with double drops of Leylines in the overworld. This will be a good time to get character EXP and Mora if you need them.
