Granblue Fantasy: Relink Has Big Post Launch Plans & PS5 Demo Out Now

A demo of Granblue Fantasy: Relink is now available with plans for additional content to be released later this year already announced.

Cygames concluded a brief presentation on January 11th for Granblue Fantasy: Relink, during which it was disclosed that a demo version of the game will be available in the coming hours. The demo dropped at midnight JST and offers a free trial of the game.

Free Demo on PS5 & PS4

Included in the demo is story mode, which allows players to get a look Relink’s main story. After completing it, players will gain rewards that will appear in the full game.

Players can also check out Quest Mode, which allows players to try out three of Relink’s quests either solo or in co-op. There are eleven characters to choose from in this mode. Completing this mode also offers a few rewards for completion.

There’s also a tutorial mode to get players up and running. Players should note that progress made in the demo will not carry over to the full game.

Post-Launch Content for Granblue Fantasy: Relink

During the presentation, Cygames also unveiled upcoming content for Relink. In early March, players can anticipate a multiplayer battle against a character named Lucilius. Judging by the tweet mentioned, Lucilius appears to be quite formidable.

This seems to be the first mention of post-launch content for the game. As this is relatively early on, Cygames are not ready to spill the beans on all content coming to the game, but it’s an intriguing update on what we can expect after the launch of the new RPG.

Anticipating Relink

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is set to release early next month on February 1, and will be available on PC, PS5, and PS4 platforms. For a sneak peek into the storyline and characters of the new game, the Granblue Fantasy anime, which Cygames recently made available for free on YouTube, can be viewed.

In case you missed it, Relink is a spinoff of the main series of games, set to follow a Captain. It combines gameplay of of party of characters which you can even team up with other players in online dungeons. Fight Primal Beasts was created by Astrals a long time ago. The game sets to have a number of hours of content, 20 hours roughly for main quests but even more through endgame activities. Each recruitable character has a range of unique abilities that can be leveled up with new talents and customisable weapons plus sigils.
