Final Fantasy XV Crossover with Final Fantasy XIV in New Update

Square Enix are always fond of crossovers, with Terra Wars and more last September, with Monster Hunter World not long ago and they now announce a crossover between the Final Fantasy worlds. Final Fantasy XV will have crossover content with Final Fantasy XIV.

In a livestream event that marks the 2 year anniversary of Final Fantasy XV, Square Enix share with fans lots of news which included the launch of the standalone Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades. They also shared that there would be a crossover on December 12th in North America with FFXV and FFXIV.

A new quest called “Adventurer from Another World” will be added involving a Miqo’te girl called Y’jhimei who joins Noctis and friends. The quest will trigger a boss called Garuda from Final Fantasy XIV. In order to access this quest players must have completed some of the main questline. Completing this quest will gain you some coveted rewards:

  • Noctis – “Glamour Prism: Miqo’te”
  • Ignis – “Glamour Prism: Elezen”
  • Gladiolus – “Glamour Prism: Roegadyn”
  • Prompto – “Glamour Prism: Hyur”

Final Fantasy XV is currently available to play on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The crossover content will arrive along with an update on December 12th for North America and December 13th for Europe as well as Japan.
