Capcom Announces Monster Hunter Stories Arrive on New Platforms

Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will “fly” to new platforms this summer.

Soar to New Platforms This June

Monster Hunter Stories, the RPG spin-off of the series, which debuted on Nintendo 3DS and has had two installments where we take control of a Rider instead of a Hunter, with our mission being to solve a mystery plaguing the world, will arrive to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on June 14, 2024.

Riders will have an epic summer filled with adventures with Monster Hunter Stories and its new features, including Japanese and English voiceovers, seven new subtitle languages, a new Museum Mode covering over 200 pieces of conceptual art, background music, developer sketches, and title updates that were previously only available in Japan.

This was announced at the latest Capcom Highlights Day 2 event where fans can experience riding Monsties with stunning detail on larger screens, enhanced with refined modeling, textures, and high-definition lighting.

The sequel, which is currently available for Nintendo Switch and PC, will also arrive on the same day for PlayStation 4. They will also have access to a new expedition with Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, the exciting second entry in the turn-based role-playing game series.

Set in the expansive and dynamic world of Monster Hunter, players follow in the footsteps of their grandfather Red, a legendary Rider, and ride Monsties with Ena, a wyverian girl entrusted with an egg with the potential to become a Rathalos. This legendary monster possesses immense power capable of wreaking havoc if its destructive capacity is unleashed. It is up to the players to test the bonds of friendship with the Monsties and uncover the hidden truths behind ancient legends.

These announcements join to the Highlights Day 1 and those that Capcom has already been doing as part of the Celebration of the 20th of Monster Hunter Franchise, which you can read about in our most recents articles.

Pre-orders for both titles will be available soon with special bonuses including the Navirou King and Queen costumes for Monster Hunter Stories, as well as the Kamura Maiden costume for Ena in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.
