God of War: Ragnarok Would Be The Next Sony Game To Arrive On PC

The game developer, Santa Monica Studio, already has everything set to journey through the nine realms with Kratos and Atreus in their PC debut with God Of War Ragnarok very soon, according to various reports circulating on the web.

God of War Ragnarok for PC

It is expected that during May, Sony will host the PlayStation Showcase event, showcasing short-term novelties and upcoming productions, such as Silent Hill 2 Remake. Among these announcements, it is highly likely that the launch of the sequel to this new version of Kratos on PC will be included.

During its release week for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in November 2022, God Of War Ragnarok sold more than 5 million copies, reaching 11 million in its first quarter. Thanks to these numbers, Sony confirmed it as the best-selling first-party game of the company up to that point. Kratos’ latest adventure surpassed 15 million units sold in November 2023, demonstrating why it is one of the most sought-after and influential titles in gaming in recent years. Additionally, a month later, it received its free expansion, God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla.

This extra content is introduced as an epilogue to the main campaign, incorporating new elements closer to the roguelite genre to offer significant replayability.

On the other hand, there is also speculation that PlayStation will reveal the PlayStation 5 Pro, the new version of its latest console that may possibly be available by the end of this year. Over the next few days, attention will need to be paid to Sony’s social media channels, as the announcement of PlayStation Showcase 2024 seems imminent.

Possible Requirements For God of War Ragnarok

Minimum Requirements

  • Windows 10.
  • Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X processor. Four cores and eight threads.
  • 8 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce GTX 970, Radeon RX 570, or equivalent graphics card with 4 GB of VRAM.
  • Storage unit with 100 GB of free space.
  • SSD recommended, but not required. With this configuration, the game should run at 1080p on low quality settings with stable 30 FPS, although this will depend on the game’s optimization.

Recommended Requirements

  • Windows 10.
  • Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X processor. Six cores and twelve threads.
  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce RTX 4060 or Radeon RX 7600 graphics card with 8 GB of VRAM.
  • Storage unit with 100 GB of free space.
  • SSD recommended, but not required. This hardware should be sufficient to play God of War Ragnarok at 1080p on maximum settings while maintaining a stable 60 FPS. Again, game optimization will be crucial, and we’ll need to see if memory usage remains at reasonable levels or if it spikes completely.

To play at 1440p resolution on maximum or very high settings with stable 60 FPS, we’ll likely need a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or a Radeon RX 6800. If our goal is to play at 4K with everything maxed out and good fluidity, we’ll need a GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER or a Radeon RX 7900 GRE.
