Empire of Sin’s Free Precinct Update and First Paid Expansion Releases Next Week

Paradox Interactive and Romero Games will be launching a free update for CRPG Empire of Sin called Precinct which will be dropping alongside the paid DLC Make It Count on November 18th for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.

The Make It Count DLC will add a new boss into the mix called Maxim Zelnick, also known as the Mob’s Fixer and a number of additions will also be added. Loan Sharks are the new racket type, providing a new way to source some passive income and can cause new event-based complications if customers don’t have the money to repay their loans.

In order to gain a Loan Shark racket crews must have the new Fixer gangster type in their ranks. The units can make problems disappear which means mediating conflicts between gangsters and helping smooth over some relationships that might be troublesome. Fixers also can bribe their way out of combat but can also use the new Caltrops combat ability if combat is unavoidable.

Make It Count will also be adding new weapons to the game, the MK VI Revolver, Coach Gun, STA 22, Lighting Carbine, RSC M17, and the new Persuader and Golden Gewehr 98 legendary weapons. New missions, side-quests and events will also be a part of the expansion.

The free Precinct update will aim to streamline the core game experience, reducing the numerous pieces of information players are bombarded with as their empires reach a certain size. The management will now focus on precincts rather than individual buildings, which means you can upgrade several rackets at once using the global options.

You can now organise your crime by precinct rather than by individual buildings.

The update also brings new Depot buildings, two new win conditions in the form of Chi-Town Mogul and Buyout paths, improved police and law enforcement as well. New Depot and Safehouse interiors will be added, plus Gun Store, Mob Lawyer and Boxing Club improvement buildings.

Empire of Sin released on the tail end of last year, introducing players to the life of crime as a mob boss in the 1920’s Prohibition-era in Chicago. The game is in top-down perspective, letting you build your crime empire with upgradeable illicit businesses to run including breweries, brothels, and speakeasies. Players also need to manage their crew and compete with rivals.

Empire of Sin‘s next expansion Make It Count will release alongside the free update Precinct on November 18th, coming to PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
