Zoria: Age of Shattering is finally within our reach as a trailer reveals the date of the tactical RPG’s launch day to be on March 7, 2024! The game will be available on PC via Steam and GOG.
This is a little less than 2 years of wait time since their Kickstarter page has been up since September 2022. So in this article, we will talk about what Zoria: Age of Shattering is all about and what you can expect from the RPG.
Zoria: Age of Shattering Will Launch In March 2024
Zoria: Age of Shattering ins being developed by Tiny Trinket Games and published by Anshar Publishing, who also released Gamedec back in September 2021. In the fantasy world of Zoria, the player leads a group of four individuals each with their own skills and perks. However, this land is not without its fair share of danger as dark magic, deadly monsters, and unresolved conflicts and politics continue to plague it.
Set in the Kingdom of Elion and the chaos that raptures it, you play as the young and intelligent Andar Witherell to gather forth three other warriors in an effort to save the kingdom from utter destruction. Can you save Elion from ruin? Do you have the capability to lead your party to victory?
Exploration, Missions, and Skills
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Divinity: Original Sin 2 and World of Warcraft, Tiny Trinket Games is hoping to show their love for both games in Zoria: Age of Shattering. Based on the trailers they have released so far, the Kingdom of Elion is a big area and it presents multiple biomes such as deserted lands and luscious blue seas.

Do not be surprised to come across areas that seem inaccessible because there is more to it than meets the eye. Familiarizing yourself with your companions’ skills will assist in situations like this. For example, having a Battle Cleric and using their power to activate a Shrine of Nerdalye can restore everyone’s HP.
Company of Heroes
Just like in King Arthur: Knight’s Tale, some missions can be completed by assigning them to your chosen companions. Once completed, you will receive whatever reward they gain together with experience points to boost your level. This is a neat system because it allows you to cover more ground without having to do all of them yourself. It also makes you feel more like a commander, and less like the person who has to do everything

Next are the things you can expect from every companion. There are 9 classes to choose from with a combination of melee, ranged, and magic wielders. Only four heroes are allowed per squad but the only way to recruit them is through exploring the kingdom. But because of this, you need to wisely determine the characters to bring along against specific enemies and monster types to take advantage of the encounters right from the start. So it is worth noting that you can swap to another companion when you need to.

As you progress further in the RPG, you gain points, which can then be allocated to skills, perks, and even spells. This brings us to combat.
Shatterer, no Shattering!
Zoria: Age of Shattering is a tactical RPG with turn-based elements similar to XCOM. Players will need to be wary and attentive to their surroundings to identify the perfect place to lay down traps, for example. Given the numerous skills that you have at your disposal, it is imperative to plan your actions carefully.

With your party, you have the option of attacking at point-blank range or from a distance, supporting your allies with healing spells and buffs, and incapacitating targets with damage over time attacks as well as debuffs.
The game is highly interactive and will encourage you to incorporate different tactics to come out of combat victorious. Even the environment and terrain itself will pose to help or hinder the player, forcing you to adapt to various scenarios.
Survival Elements and Base Management
In addition to exploration and combat, Zoria: Age of Shattering also features survival elements in the form of weapon and armor degradation and resource-gathering. Unlike other tactical RPGs, you need to pay close attention to your equipment and vitality because they both wear out over time.

For the equipment, crafting is present to let you create new weapons and armor although it has not yet been confirmed if you also have the option to repair broken ones instead. Meanwhile, constant rest by the campfire helps gather your party’s strength back and prevent getting fatigued to tackle more pressing challenges in the future.

There is also some base management elements. This is where you slowly upgrade your main outpost to gain access to buildings that grant upgrades, give quests, and provide resources in the form of unique items. So not only would it be beneficial to destroy your enemies but also improving your base of operations will aid you in progressing effectively in the game.
Zoira: Age of Shattering Shattered
