NIS America have announced that the localization patch and PC version of their acclaimed action-RPG, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, will unfortunately be delayed to sometime in early 2018.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana – Delay
The localization patch was meant to redact the various grammar and typo errors littered throughout the game, and was planned to have gone live this November.
Initially, the PC version of Ys VIII was slated for a launch back in mid-September, and speculation suggests that it might have had something to do with the poor translation within the game.
As revealed in NISA’s blogpost, the delay was: “due to the scope of this undertaking”, referring to the fact that they have plans to revise and edit the script for dialogue and item descriptions, as well as to redo the voice recordings among other tasks.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is currently available on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4.
