NIS America has just unveiled the new PC release date for the highly-acclaimed Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana action-RPG.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana – It’s This Month!
Initially planned to come out in September of last year, the Steam version was put on hold due to various issues with its English localization, prompting the company to issue an apology.
Since then, they have put together a team in an effort to redact all of those problems; going so far as to rewrite most of the original script and rerecord a good chunk of the game’s dialogue. These new fixes will also be made available for the original PlayStation 4 and PS Vita releases via a downloadable patch.
And now, PC gamers will finally get their hands on latest Ys installment this January 30th. And to commemorate, during the game’s first week of launch, Steam users can snag themselves the following items for free up until February 6th, 10:00am PST.

- Adol’s Silver Armor
- Adol’s Adventurer Clothes
- Adol’s Survival Kit
- Digital Mini Art Book
- Digital Soundtrack Sampler
- Laxia’s “Eternian Scholar” Costume
Furthermore, NIS has opened up their final round of Beta testing and the kicker is that testers will be granted a free Steam code for the full game, and you can sign up over at this link.
