It is likely 1 of 2 things: a new official mod like the Long War or it’s a new DLC expansion, either of which will likely introduce new weapons, missions and more. Either way it’s something that fans of the series should be excited for as the game was a successful follow up to the first reboot from the Civilization developer. We had a blast with it ourselves over a series of livestreams which you can check out below:
All will be revealed at 10 AM PST next Monday at the PC Gaming Show. We’re looking forward to seeing what is behind the curtain.

I quit on the last mission because I didn’t want it to end. Also, the dlc alien bosses gave me a serious hurting on normal while I was learning the game. I unlocked them immediately.
So I restarted on easy to learn the game and decided not to beat it on easy so I started over on normal again. Got about halfway and took a break.
This was just a couple weeks ago. I plan on beating it for real soon.
And I really hope for a dlc that adds some kind of infinite play like Mordheim or Grand Kingdom.
Anything will do. I got very attached to my squads.
Well the end of X-COM 2 heavily suggests that there will be a sequel or DLC. Either way I am fine with whatever comes next.
Hopefully it adds a way to keep playing after you beat the campaign. That was my only problem with the game. It ends…
