It’s about a month away from the launch of We Happy Few the psychedelic, Orwellian game that has been making waves since it’s Kickstarter project launch three years ago. If you’re wanting to get your hands on some pre-order bonuses or collectors edition but not sure which one to purchase, we’ve got you covered just read on below for the details.
We Happy Few Pre-Order Bonuses and Collector’s Edition
We Happy Few takes place in the alternate universe in 1960s England, in a world where the outcome of World War II took a drastically different turn causing a terrible sequence of events. The story follows main protagonist Arthur who’s role is working in the sensor department. Arthur’s life turns upside after he stops taking his “joy”, a chemically induced drug that leaves everyone in happy sedated state.
Physical Pre-order Bonuses
Those who choose to pre-order before it’s official on August 10th, will receive an exlusive Jolly Brolly. An in-game weapon that can be redeemed using a code found in the physical game copy package. Some retailers such as GameStop or Best Buy will give a $10 discount also for those who are in the US. Fans in Australia will be glad to know that We Happy Few will also be making it’s way there as Compulsion Games confirm on a post on Steam that the Classification Review Board has finally approved the release.
Pre-ordering the standard edition of We Happy Few is priced at $59.99 and will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Included in the Standard Edition:
- We Happy Few Standard Edition copy
- Exclusive Jolly Brolly in-game weapon
Those who have the early access version of We Happy Few and Xbox Games Preview owners will receive the Standard Edition automatically. Backers of the game with Tier 1 on Kickstarter, will receive this for free.
The We Happy Few Deluxe Edition includes the base game and season pass for $79.99. Purchasing a season pass will get you access to “three pieces of future content” which will feature one of “Wellington Wells’ most notorious residents.”

- We Happy Few Standard Edition
- We Happy Few Season Pass
- Exclusive Jolly Brolly Weapon
Those who backed the Kickstarter campaign with Tier 2 or Tier 9, will also get a free upgrade to the Deluxe Edition.
Time Capsule – Collector’s Edition
For those who are avid fans of the game, there is a special Time Capsule collector’s edition. This collection doesn’t actually include the base game, much like the Red Dead Redemption Collector’s Box. This collection is for those who want some retro styled memorabilia of the game. The edition is not yet available but we do have the details of what it will include.
Time Capsule edition includes:

- “You Look Smashing” Sign Lamp
- Uncle Jack Alarm Clock
- We Happy Few Soundtrack Vinyl

Those who backed with a Tier 10 on the Kickstarter will receive this edition and an upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for free.
While the game is listed currently on Steam, the pre-order is not yet available. You can pre-order a digital copy of the Standard Edition on gog.com which includes the Jolly Brolly weapon with 15% discount ($9) at time of when this article was written.
We Happy Few will be officially launching on August 10th, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
