Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has announced that it will launch on PS5 on December 3. It will be available in digital format on the PlayStation Store, with PlayStation Plus subscribers receiving a 10% discount on the Standard Edition and a 15% discount on the Imperial Edition.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on PS5 and PS5 Pro

The PlayStation 5 version will include all the content and improvements made since the PC release, and it’s also compatible with the PS5 Pro, the new, more powerful console that was launched just yesterday, offering 4K and 60 FPS on this upgraded hardware.

On the original PS5, players can choose between a Performance Mode at 60 FPS with a resolution of 1440p, and a Quality Mode at 30 FPS with 4K resolution. Additionally, it will make use of the DualSense’s haptic feedback.

A spiritual successor to Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (2018), developer Fatshark is once again focusing on intense, four-player cooperative action in first-person, where players must face waves of enemies that test both reflexes and strategic teamwork.

In its gameplay, shooting is as important as melee combat, as there isn’t enough ammunition to take down all the foes, so players will need to manage resources carefully, mastering blocks and dodges to survive.
