Blizzard has announced the release today of Warcraft and Warcraft 2 remastered versions of the first two games in its iconic real-time strategy saga.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of one of the most important video game series in history: Warcraft. Blizzardโs universe began with a real-time strategy game released in 1994, which has since become a cultural icon through both its RTS games and its MMO, World of Warcraft, along with comics, books, and even movies.

Blizzard hosted a tribute event to celebrate Warcraftโs 30th anniversary, where it not only confirmed the rumor of Warcraft 2 Remastered but also announced that the first installment has been remastered as well, and that both will be released alongside version 2.0 of Warcraft III: Reforged.
Blizzard has announced the launch of Warcraft: Orcs & Humans Remastered and Warcraft II: Tides of War Remastered, remastered versions of the two classic games from the company. They come with enhanced graphics that respect the original art style, and players can toggle between these new graphics and the original visuals in real-time.
Gameplay improvements have also been added. For instance, Warcraft now includes updated controls and increased game speed. Both games feature interface adjustments, and Warcraft 2 also includes multiplayer mode, with support for all maps created by modders in this new edition.
Both games can be purchased individually or as part of the Warcraft Battle Chest, which will have a dynamic price that varies based on which installments youโve already bought. This bundle includes Warcraft III: Reforged, which today receives its version 2.0, with new features and gameplay and graphical improvements to address many of the issues fans noted in the original release.
