In an IGN first look, Dontnod Entertainment and Focus Home Interactive have released a new trailer for Vampyr, the upcoming Action RPG set in early twentieth century London. Check it out:
You take on the role of, Dr. Jonathan Reid, a recently turned Vampire, who wrestles with his desire to kill and his commitment as a doctor to heal. The trailer’s theme highlights this struggle as it shows the effects of the Spanish flu that ravaged London in 1918 and a populace who is desperate for healing. Blood is power, and feeding on victims improves your abilities. The more you feed the more powerful you become, but the city will decay further. If you choose to resist your darker urges, the city will begin to heal, but you will be significantly weaker. As you play the game, you will make use of abilities and weapons as you stalk your victims and fend off those who hunt you.

Vampyr is set to release sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Check out our preview and developer interview to learn more and be sure to keep checking back for updates.

@fexelea, will have to agree with you. We need some gameplay footage. We need to know what we are going to expect.
But we cannot deny the fact that this game is something new. Compared at least to the old Vampire:The Masquerade Games, which were pretty much based on the original pen & paper RPG. I find it interesting that the main-protagonist is a doctor.
Although, what i really want to see, is what they are up to. A doctor in London, late 20’s. Who is the antagonist? A vampire? Many vampires?
I haz questionz.
It’s a shame they didn’t show any gameplay. I think people would react better to that than this strange superposition of random dialogue
