Sega has just announced Valkyria Chronicles 4, a true sequel in the Valkyria tactical-RPG franchise.
Valkyria Chronicles 4 – Launching Next Year!
Valkyria Chronicles 4Â is currently in development and is slated to launch sometime next year for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One consoles.
The game’s story will take place during the events of the first Valkyria Chronicles title and will feature a winter setting, as opposed to the woodland and desert locales in the original.
Valkyria Chronicles kicked off the series back in 2008 on the PlayStation 3 to critical acclaim. It sported a beautiful water-color art-style and featured an engrossing story filled with a large cast of interesting personalities.
Its tactical gameplay was turn-based and had you play out battles/skirmishes in a map of varying terrain, enemy composition and placement, rewarding those with the best strategy.

Valkyria Chronicles 4Â is planned for a release sometime in 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
