Developer Hotta Studio announced at Gamescom their recently released MMORPG Tower of Fantasy will be an expansion update, adding new area, mounts, bosses and a mirror city.

Tower of Fantasy 2.0 Update Vera Announced; New Locations, Mounts, Bosses and More

The update for Tower of Fantasy was teased at Gamescom this week, giving a sneak peek at the new area that introduces Vera and the city Mirroria. Other new additions with the update will include new bosses, mounts and more in the Vera 2.0 update.

New Locations in Vera 2.0

Two new biomes will be introduced with the expansion. Vera is a desert and Mirroria is described as the mirror city, floating in the air above it.

Vera

Gobby is a desert, a hot and dry climate which surrounds the city of Vera. After the Cataclysm, the space-time dimension doesn’t have enough energy to sustain itself on the main Plane, causing the failure of the Vera Tower of Fantasy.

Mirroria

The energy radiation that once inhabited the area is slowly reducing, but there are some heavily polluted regions. The people of Vera mostly live in Mirroria, the mirror city. The trailer shows a pyramid-like structure floating in the sky above the desert and entering a triangular gate into cyberpunk looking city.

Mounts, Bosses and More

Teased in the short trailer are new mounts, as characters speed around the desert on yellow-taxi looking hoverbikes. They meet a flying, robotic-looking boss that gets away through what looks to be a portal. But not before they fire lasers at it using a device, that could be a new sort of relic.

So far no release date has been shared of when the expansion will hit, but it looks like Tower of Fantasy will have some regular updates coming with Vera being just the start.

Just this week the official twitter account for ToF also teased the next character to be joining the roster, the dual sword wielder Frigg. The game has hit a staggering ten million downloads across platforms.
