Sony
- Sony’s new Playstation Studios Mobile Division is set to acquire gaming studio Savage. The newly formed Playstation Studios Mobile Division will be operating independently from the console development side. The new division will focus on “innovative, on-the-go experiences” within existing Playstation franchises.
- Savage Game Studios’ current project is a “AAA mobile live action game”. According to co-founders Nadjim Adjir and Michael McManus, they chose to join Playstation Studios as they believe they respect their “vision”. It also gives the studio access to a number of different intellectual properties.
- Sony making a mobile division means we’ll probably be seeing some more mobile spinoffs of their IPs. This opens the door to many opportunities going forward for mobile titles.
- What do you think about the mobile division? What IPs do you hope to get a mobile spinoff title? Let us know in the comments below. As with all news in this video you can find the link in the description below.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns
- In the latest trailer for upcoming Marvel’s Midnight Suns we get a closer look at the playable character The Hunter. The Hunter in Midnight Suns gets the spotlight in the latest trailer. While in the turn-based card based RPG players will get to have popular Marvel heroes join their squad, The Hunter is the customisable, playable character players will take up in the game.
- In the latest showcase, the Hunter has quite a few customisable options according to the trailer and can be seen fighting in the game. The options range from hair cuts, facial features to clothing. Her abilities include area damage as she transforms her blade into a hammer.
- We also get a tease of the story, with The Hunter wanting to stop her mother Lilith. Of course this is not going to be easy not just physically, but emotionally as she will need to challenge her own mother who is on the side of Hydra. The Hunter doesn’t quite share mum’s evil motives as she is raised by Lilith’s sister Caretaker, as a weapon meant to oppose Lilith.
- Marvel’s Midnight Suns will release on current-gen consoles and PC.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners
- The standalone series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be coming to Netflix with all 10 episodes premiering on September 13th. Alongside the release date is a new NSFW announcement trailer featuring the animated series. The show is in collaboration with Studio Trigger.
- The trailer shows off the violent, explosive story, teasing what’s to come including lots of punches being thrown, guns, explosions, more guns and generally a sensory overload of mayhem. It ends with a Netrunner startled in their chair, gasping for breath. The series follows a whole set of new characters but will be set in Night City.
- The main story follows the life of a street kid called Daniel Martinez, who is trying to survive in a futuristic city known for its tech and body modification. Experiencing a personal tragedy, David decides to become an Edgerunner in order to take control of his life.
- You can check out the trailer but be warned as it’s NSFW. The series looks to be an interesting take on Cyberpunk universe with it’s anime-styled series, and maybe will have some Cyberpunk 2077 easter eggs or mentions of popular characters like Johnny Silverhand? I guess we’ll have to watch and see.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force
- In the latest trailer for upcoming sci-fi fantasy RPG Star Ocean: The Divine Force, we get further details about enemies, a playable character as well as gameplay mechanics.
- The new trailer features game elements for The Divine Force, including introducing playable characters and factions. Vyrians are introduced along with their English and Japanese voice actors/actresses. Vyrians have advanced technology at their fingertips and we learn they are connected to the Empire. They’re pretty easy to spot as they have bluish/purplish skin which makes them stand out.
- Also revealed is a race called the Trathen, Malkya being their leader. She is seen on the battlefield using melee attacks but what makes her unique is that she can bridge the gap between her and an enemy by extending her arms/hands. The footage shows her bizarre swipes at foes, making for some interesting gameplay as she can reach from a distance.
- There’s also an interesting robotic ally called D.U.M.A., which can be levelled by collecting gems and allocating them in skills. This ally can add a number of benefits to adventuring including masking footsteps range, reducing VA gauge when using shield and more.
