Project Vitriol
- Project Vitriol was announced by Fool’s Theory, a Polish development studio full of ex-Witcher 3 Developers.
- Back in early February of this year, two Polish companies joined forces. 11 Bit Studios, developer of This War of Mine and Fool’s Theory reached an agreement to work together. They have also proudly announced just recently that their new endeavor, Project Vitriol (working title), is their biggest yet.
- Project Vitriol promises to be “more than meets the eye” according to the rather brief teaser trailer. It featured a man in a coat, warily looking over his shoulder for any dangers around. He is also surrounded by a facade of various things, ranging from statues to symbols of religion, and more.
- The game will take place in version of ancient Poland, back under Russian tsar rule. Much like The Witcher games, Project Vitriol will mix in Polish folklore, stories, mythos, and more to create a unique setting grounded in European influences.
- The game is described as a “morally ambiguous narrative-driven RPG”. So far no release date has been announced.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3 got a boatload of information in this week’s Nintendo Direct showcase. We learned more about the world, the characters, and various systems.
- The direct focused entirely on one highly anticipated game, Xenoblade Chronicles 3. There was tons of footage in the nearly 30 minutes of runtime in the event.
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s main characters are comprised of three individuals from each nation, for a total of 6 playable characters. As with most of the population of Aionios, these youngsters have been commissioned to battle the opposing nation.
- Initiating fights is as simple as walking up to a hostile monster and drawing your weapon. Auto attacks will happen automatically, given that your currently controlled character is within range. You can swap between any of your 7 party members at any given time in combat. Positioning will also be important as there will be locational damage, especially on the larger foes.
- Combat will have three distinct roles, each with different classes associated with them. Attackers are your basic damage dealers; Defenders specialize in drawing aggro and tanking; and Healers specialize in restoration, disruption, and support.
- Characters’ classes are also not set in stone. You can change any number of your party members’ roles seamlessly in combat, making fights truly your own. We also got to preview some of the abilities or Arts and Master Arts which are powerful abilities that can be perfected by certain classes.
- If you want to get all the details on what’s coming in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 or any of the news mentioned in this video today, the link is in the description below.

King Arthur Knight’s Tale
- NeoCore Games has announced the first major update for King Arthur Knight’s Tale called The Chained God which released this week. The update added the Fomorian short story mini-campaign, a reworked endgame, balance changes and more.
- According to the Steam post, the Fomorian mini-campaign will focus on how Balor, the God-King freed himself from the shackles binding him. But that won’t be all as NeoCore Games teases that there will be a “couple more things in store too!”
- The new patch reworks Endgame which will work similarly to the Seasons in other titles. Season content will highlight a new enemy faction, for The Chained God it’s the Fomorians. Endgame will have dozens of maps, 12 of which will be against the season’s main enemy faction. Seasonal currency will also be available which can be exchanged for unique rewards and enchants, plus powerups for these items.
- A number of fixes and balances changes also arrive with the patch.

So far its highest concurrent player record was hit when the game was first released six years ago standing at 27,368.

In case you missed it, Capcom held a 10th-anniversary digital event last week which showed a 12-minute video with the developer sharing some fond memories of the original game during its development. They then went on to announce the news that DD2 was in development, confirming many fan theories that they were working on the project.
- If you are interested in picking up the first title be sure to take advantage of the sales with currently up to 84% off across platforms Playstation 4, Xbox One and Steam, that’s as low as $5. You can also pick up the title on Switch which is on sale for $10.

Final Fantasy XVI
- New details were revealed for upcoming Final Fantasy XVI by producer Naoki Yoshida who shared more about the game with IGN. In an interview recently he talked about the game’s combat and exploration features.
- Final Fantasy XVI will take on the style that its mainline predecessor, FFXV took, which is real-time combat.
- Final Fantasy games are always about the journey, as well as building relationships with those closest to you. While they haven’t announced everyone who will join Clive on his adventures, the team promises to give more info soon.
- As for Eikons, Yoshida unveiled that there will be times when players “will control an Eikon in real-time”. Making use of Eikons in battle will be a grand spectacle, indeed. If the Dominance trailer is anything to go off on, we can expect them to be tools that can turn the tide of any war. Eikons’ powers can be used seamlessly, switching between Clive’s own martial prowess and the summons’ elemental furies.
- The previous mainline game, FFXV, broke that mould and introduced an open world. This decision has drawn some criticism due to the lack of variety and points of interest out in the world. To remedy this, Square Enix and Yoshida’s team are going back to what they do best – focused, area-based experience.
- Final Fantasy XVI will release sometime in summer of 2023 for Playstation 5.

The MMORPG gains a new hybrid class/race Dracthyr which will introduce the Evoker class. The expansion will introduce four new zones, a new level cap of 70 and a flying dragon experience. Changes are also coming to the game’s talent system as well as professions.
- Pre-order details were also revealed for each of the editions, with the base edition starting at $49.99 USD, Heroic Edition for $69.99 and the Epic Edition for $89.99 which includes bonus item pre-purchase pet, character boost, transmog items, Hearthstone effect and 30 days of game time.
