Diablo 4
- The open beta for upcoming Diablo IV open beta and early access dates have been revealed for platforms PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Playstation 5 and Playstation 4. In order to gain early access to the open beta, you will need to pre-purchase the game. Then the open beta will be available to all the following weekend.
- The early Access Beta for those pre-purchase starts March 17th until 19th. The open beta will begin March 24th ending on March 26th.
- Blizz also revealed a brand new cinematic which shows the intro of the game. It shows a lone figure trekking through the unforgiving wilderness of Sanctuary, stumbling upon a cave but still in danger of wolves. They awaken and it switches from cutscene to in gameplay.
- The open beta contains the Prologue and the whole of Act 1. This means players can explore the first area called Fractured Peaks. There will be some limitations to character progress as you will only be able to level to 25. Once you cap you can still go ahead and hunt down demons to your heart’s content but won’t be able to level more. The beta will include dungeons, quests and of course plenty of loot.
- A dev livestream will be taking place on February 28th at 11:00 A.M. PST. Lead world designer Art Peshkov, lead systems designer Meng Song, and game director Joe Shely will take part. You can check out the stream on Twitch and Youtube. This will concentrate on the game’s Stronghold and Armor systems, plus Open Beta details.

Lies of P
- We finally have a release month for the upcoming Action-RPG Lies of P. Players will get to take on the titular role of Pinnochio this August 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC, as well as Xbox Game Pass.
- Announced during IGN’s Fan Fast, the soulslike title has gotten a new trailer featuring the alternative telling of the wooden puppet’s tale. We get a rather cryptic and poetic new trailer featuring what looks to be a puppet master at work. A mechanical monstrosity doesn’t even begin to describe the rise of this enemy. Part machine, part undead and whole a lot of madness. This could be the first look at a potential boss fight, which has a supernatural influence.
- The trailer’s maddened narrator mentions a new “paradigm” and a “new world”. This creature looks to be part of that vision. Souls games are no strangers to enigmatic storytelling, with Lies seemingly taking a leaf out of Elden Ring‘s breadcrumb teasing.

Bleak Faith: Forsaken
- We won’t be waiting much longer for the release of crowd-funded souls-like Bleak Faith: Forsaken as the developer has recently announced the game will be launching on March 10th for PC. Xbox and PS4 versions are planned but will come at a later date.
- The indie project which started on Kickstarter managed to achieve its main goal, gaining $31,199 from a total of 362 backers. The studio behind the game is also on the small side with just a few developers on the team.
- The title is a mix of brutal combat and sci-fi aesthetics with a dark fantasy backdrop. The game has been a few years in the making, stemming back to 2019 when we first had a look at the Action-RPG in our preview.
- Bleak Faith: Forsaken offers players a unique and immersive experience. The world called the Omnistructure is unrelenting. Expect an epic journey across unforgiving landscapes and dangerous dungeons as you fight “fierce creatures and astonishing bosses” according to the studio.
- As the Forsaken you are here to protect what is left of humanity, but just how much of it remains?
- As you would expect from a soulslike, the combat will be challenging, inspired by brutal combat systems. Its class and perk systems draw inspiration from the likes of the Dragon Age series.

For the King 2
- The tabletop RPG For the King 2 has a new trailer which features the dungeon-crawling combat, turn-based exploration and a few new features. The short but sweet trailer teases players will be getting landboats in the sequel. There are also pets that can be recruited to join you in battle.
- The sequel was first announced last year, which set 2023 as the release year. As you’d expect the second title will continue to have the core features of the first. However, the sequel will have players face the kingdom of Fahrul’s queen 20 years later.
- For The King 2 looks to have some fun new additions such as “otherworldly pets”. How many recruitable types are unknown, but could provide a nice shake-up to the game. There also looks to be a familiar threat the Hangman returning.
- For the King 2 will be coming to PC sometime in 2023.
