  • From December 14th, ConcernedApe will be taking on that responsibility alone for PC, Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita. Chucklefish will still be handling Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms which went live this year.
  • In a post on the official website the developer expresses his vision “I think self-publishing is the end-goal of most indie developers, and I’m happy to be in a place where that’s possible!” He also thanked the publisher for helping him to get multiplayer off the ground.
  • Stardew Valley is available to play on PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PS Vita, PS4 and Xbox One. An Android version is on the way.

Red Dead Online

  • Red Dead Redemption 2’s online mode Red Dead Online  beta recently had some feedback from the players in the community concerning the cost of items in-game, causing the economy to be unbalanced.
  • A good example of the disparity between item worth is the cost of baked beans versus gold rings, somehow the price for baked beans is more valuable than gold rings which led to players to speak up about the in-game issues.
  • In a recent tweet by Rockstar they address some of the economy problems as well as the bugs that currently exist in the beta, they also urge players to continue to give feedback using their support page, which was set up at the beginning of the beta. The tweet mentions they will “…continue to keep you regularly updated as things progress”.
  • Red Dead Online is currently in beta and is available on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

Before this, Laidlaw was the lead writer for another Bioware game, Jade Empire.
  • Ubisoft Quebec has also announced that it will create 200 new jobs and a second site in the city meaning there could be a new project on the horizon. In the past, Assassin’s Creed games have been back and forth between the two studios Montreal and Quebec, Laidlaw could be working on the next Assassin’s Creed.
