Yazuka: like A Dragon

  • Sega announced this week the latest entry in the franchise Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be releasing on consoles and PC this November.
  • The latest entry in the Yakuza franchise Yakuza: Like a Dragon takes a different turn from the rest of the series, this time focusing on more of a turn-based RPG combat system. The game already released in Japan but is finally coming west on November 13th for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
  • In the latest trailer released, it shows some of many different jobs you can adopt, there are 20 to try. These jobs act like classes, gaining your character a number of new abilities that can be used in fights.
  • The jobs are fantastically absurd in the types of execution, from becoming a chef to use  a frying pan on enemies to execute a master chef beat-down, to becoming a Japanese idol who can take their stardom to a whole new level by commanding their fans to deal a destructive end. There are plenty more to experience in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, showing just the tip of the iceberg for jobs in this trailer, each amazingly bizarre.
  • Yakuza: Like a Dragon will release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 13th, available for pre-order for $59.99 for the standard Ichi edition.

The devs replied in the best way they knew how, with a “ohhhh yeah” gif explaining that yes, the game would be receiving free DLC.
  • Recently the studio has been releasing a closer look at the game through webisodes introducing features such as Braindance investigations and Lifepaths. It features some of the gameplay and definitely amps fans up for its upcoming release.

  • The family home gets an animal domain, which players can return to in between dungeon runs with plenty of animals to feed and care for including deer, foxes, peacocks, owls and more.
  • You can even feed them treats found inside dungeon chests to raise the happiness levels, this in turn boosts family members which includes a number buffs.

Outriders

  • Previously developer People Can Fly revealed 3 of the four classes for the upcoming co-op shooter RPG Outriders which are Trickster, the Pyromancer and Devastator. In the latest broadcast this week they featured the fourth and final class The Technomancer.
  • Technomancer seems to be a rather flexible class that can work alongside the Devastator and Pyromancer classes. It’s a long ranged gunman which also possesses the “best healing abilities” out of the four classes.
  • The class also can “manipulate constructs”, and their main skill of focus uses summoning of devastating weapons. Like it’s class name suggests, the Technomancer can materialise some interesting weaponised tech such as turrets out of thin air that have different effects.
  • Using “Tool of Destruction” allows the Technomancer to utilise a Rocket Launcher or Minigun.

  • Godfall will be releasing this fall, and so far has revealed some gameplay and a few features in terms of Valorplates, which are meant to suit different playstyles.
  • Previously the developer shared that the intention for Godfall in terms of gameplay is to bring RPG progression together with third-person action combat, which the devs call a looter-slasher. • Opening Night Live came with a closer look at Bioware’s upcoming Dragon Age game. In the behind-the-scenes, the Bioware team talks about the new environments, and shares a few details about the story. The tale will follow a narrative about “what happens when you don’t have power”, according to lead writer Patrick Weekes. It will also be about the people around you and your relationship with friends and family.
  • There will also be characters that you will have very strong feelings about, either you’ll love’em or hate’em. This is where they showed the character called Solas, the voice line read by Gareth David-Lloyd asks “They call me the Dread Wolf, what will they call you when this is over?” Previous teases for this Dragon Age used the hashtag #thedreadwolfrises, and this is the first time we see a connection between that tagline with a character.
