The Tokyo Game 2020 will go ahead but as a digital event due to Covid-19.

Tokyo Game Show 2020 Replaced with Online Event

The Tokyo Game Show 2020 was suppose to take place from September 24th to 26th at Makuhari Messe, but has now been announced to be replaced with an online event. A message was shared by the TGS Management on the official website, who shared due to the unpredictable nature of the current situation.

Not being completely unexpected news as most events have either been cancelled or moved to a digital format these days. TGS will be livestreamed and more details will be shared this May.

TGS is an annual event held in Japan is one of the biggest game events there. Hopefully we will be seeing some new titles including more of what’s coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X.

TGS isn’t the only recently announced event to go digital, EA Play will also be taking on a digital format.
