The Week in Wikis: Technomancy, Dark Souls 3 Regulations and More

Happy weekend from Fextralife! If you’ve been too busy to keep up on the latest in the games we cover or are looking for a refresher we’ve got you covered. Let’s take a look at the comings and goings across the Fextralife Wiki Network:

Dark Souls 3

  • Dark Souls 3 Regulation 1.09 went live on Friday for players! Check out the Patch Notes for the changes!
  • Several changes and modifications shook up the current meta. Check out the detailed patch notes thread on the forums for an in depth look at the changes that came through.

Fallout 4

  • Fallout 4 mods will have to wait a little before coming to the PS4. No date for the release was given but it seems there were some hiccups with rollout.

The Witcher 3

  • There was a minor patch released for The Witcher 3 this week, with some slight fixes.
  • Still enjoying Blood and Wine? Be sure to check the wiki for full quest walkthroughs!

Elder Scrolls Online

  • Elder Scrolls Online is getting a new expansion, called Shadows of the Hist, that features new dungeons as well as the ability to change your character’s appearance and race. It will release on August 1st on PC and on August 16th for PS4 and Xbox One.

The Technomancer

The Division

  • The Division’s next DLC, Underground released this week for players! It’s an underground maze of randomly generated tunnels beneath New York City.
  • There were some issues at launch but these should be ironed out now.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

  • Mass Effect: Andromeda is getting a series of books to tie the events of the first trilogy with this game. These between game novels have been a popular feature of the Mass Effect universe and have featured some big name authors from the sci-fi genre. Worldbuilding enthusiasts always appreciate a fleshed out universe. Looking forward to the in game Codex!

Overwatch

  • Competitive Play was switched on for Overwatch this week on PC, with consoles getting their version enabled shortly. Let the climb to the top begin!
  • A new patch also deployed for PC and PS4 this week in conjunction with the changes.

Tyranny

  • Tyranny released some new details on how Combat is going to shake out in this dark sequel to Pillars of Eternity! Players can anticipate some well thought and complex mechanics.

Absolver

  • Absolver developer SloClap hosted a debut livestream on Friday on publisher Devolver Digital’s twitch channel and answered several fan questions about what to expect. Check out the recap.

    The big criticisms are that they combat feels weak and not impactful at all, your character is incredibly fragile, your gun is next to useless, the normal enemy mobs are way too strong, and the voice acting is…..questionable. At least, they’re the main gripes i’ve heard from a couple of reviews.

  2. I beg to differ. Been playing it a bit lately while building the wiki and it’s pretty decent. It’s not going to win any awards but once it opens up there is some fun to be had. This is one of those games where people should play rather than wait for reviews to decide. I call it a mini Mass Effect.
