The Technomancer E3 Trailer

Focus Home Interactive and developer Spiders have released the pre-E3 trailer for The Technomancer, their upcoming sci-fi RPG. Using the riveting classic song, “House of the Rising Sun” to illustrate the Martian landscape players will journey through, the trailer gives viewers a closer look at the narrative themes we can expect.

Mars is a barren wasteland that is home to the forgotten children of Earth. On the surface, warring corporations fight wars from their massive domed cities for one resource: water. Underground, hidden between the crags or in unexplored valleys, you will factions struggling for their own profit, or mutants permanently changed by the sun’s radiation and hated by the rest of humankind.

Players will play as a Technomancer named Zachariah– a formidable warrior harnessing destructive electrical powers. Along with their companions who can be interacted and even romanced similar to Mass Effect, players can choose between diplomacy, combat, or trickery to complete quests. Defeating enemies and completing quests gain experience to level up your character, where you can learn new skills or upgrade perks across 4 unique skill trees. As a further layer of customization, the crafting system enables players to create more powerful equipment and weaponry for themselves and their companions.

Sorry, sorry, theres quite the discussion over the Tryhard’s twinswords nerf that people are still talking about it.

The trailer looks nice, the premise is pretty good too. Kinda Mad Max-ish. Which is nice.
Also, romance. Could this be a new Witcher game? Where the romance scenes are worth everything you do? ROFL.

Also got reminded of Jake’s voice from Resident evil 6. Same voice actor?

  2. Bump to break up Dark Souls 3’s domination of active topics. You know children, there are other games out there!
