Publisher Nexon and developer Neople have revealed the opening cinematic for The First Berserker: Khazan, a new Soulslike action RPG scheduled for release in early 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.

This role-playing action game is set in the universe of Dungeon Fighter Online, one of the most-played and highest-grossing games of all time, featuring an appealing anime aesthetic and a challenging, versatile combat system. The game aspires to join the ranks of FromSoftware-inspired titles coming out of South Korea, much like Lies of P (2023).

While a launch date has not been confirmed, The First Berserker: Khazan is anticipated in early 2025, and its spectacular opening cinematic has just been unveiled. Playing as General Khazan, falsely accused of treason, players must reclaim their honor in an epic action adventure, gradually regaining forgotten battle skills and upgrading weapons and armor to defeat all manner of fearsome enemies from the imperial forces out to destroy them.

With brutal, intense, yet tactical combat requiring players to carefully time attacks, dodge, and block enemy moves with precision, the game especially tests players in challenging boss fights. Its graphics and artistic style are notable for their anime-inspired visuals, employing cel shading effectively, complemented by excellent character and creature design.
