If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to run your own castle in the Elder Scrolls universe you’re in luck as Bethesda Game Studios has revealed they are working on a mobile title. Similar to the chaos of Fallout Shelter, The Elder Scrolls Castles will have you managing your own fortress from building to dealing with your subjects.

The Google Play store teases that you will get to build your own dynasty, even grow families as “new families take the throne”. But the Elder Scrolls universe definitely has some complications when it comes to rulers and who’s in charge. While it isn’t stated in the info, royal politics could have their influence.

Bethesda has shared that players will get to take on “epic quests” while they oversee their kingdom, by creating heroes and pitting them against some “classic” Elder Scrolls enemies. In these quests, players can obtain valuable items that will help contribute to the growth of their empire.

Looks to be inspired by Fallout Shelter, but takes on running a kingdom with further dynasty decision making.

We’ll get to take on our own slice of Elder Scrolls life in Early Access on the Play Store for Android. But it’s expected to launch on iOS and Android this year. This isn’t Bethesda’s foray into mobile titles as we’ve had Elder Scrolls: Blades and a game that looks to inspire Castles, Fallout Shelter. While ES Legends has ceased development, a card game is still alive and well in the Elder Scrolls Online as a mini-game Tales of Tribute. Of course we can’t wait for Elder Scrolls 6 which is the next major RPG from Bethesda after Starfield which recently released last month.
