Sure it’s an Ubisoft game but it plays out well and the Dark Zone is a pretty unique PvEvP experience worth taking a crack at.
Sadly the in Open Beta we’ve received no news on the inclusion of the Security Wing mission and access to Smart Cover. Odd considering that a recent trailer explained how the Turret, Smart Cover, and Pulse skills could be used to create a powerful combo.
What I’m most curious about is seeing if the turret can attach to the Riot Shield. If I can I could really see a Pulse/Turret player supplementing a Riot Shield player.
The game is really good, check out my impressions of the closed beta: https://fextralife.com/delight-and-distrust-in-the-dark-zone/
It would be premature to say something along the lines of “same ol ubisoft” but this is Massive developing it, and although a part of the parent they are definitely doing things their own way. There will be the standard Uplay elements but the game is quite deep and gratifying in a lot of ways.
The shooting mechanics weren’t Destiny level, and were clunky in points but there is enough going on other than just shooting that keeps things pretty interesting.
This game looks fun, MMOs are not my thing but the third person shooter part looks…. wait…. Ubisoft…. no.
I missed the closed beta, sadly, so this is my chance to make up for it.
I have been following this game for a good while now.
Can’t wait.

Comes out March 8th. Check out the wiki we have for it: https://thedivision.wiki.fextralife.com/The+Division+Wiki
I never play the betas. I just wish the game would come out already! Is there even a definite release date for it yet?
Anyone interested in finding themselves a squad this should hit me up on the PS4: ViralEnsign_ for some fire team action.
