InXile have released The Bard’s Tale: Warlocks of Largefearn an audio RPG tale now available through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

If you were looking for a new way to experience The Bard’s Tale well now you can with the release of The Bard’s Tale: Warlocks of Largefearn. You will need either an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant compatible device in order to play and it’s free. To start you just need to use either the phrase “Alexa, open The Bard’s Tale” for Alexa or, “Hey Google, talk to The Bard’s Tale” for Google Assistant. The audio version is only currently available in US, UK and Canada.

The game will let players discover the mysteries of Largefearn through the power of voice control, with a turn-based combat system. There are 4 playable classes to try out, each with its own subclass and specialities, with several companions and a number of puzzles to solve. There are also dungeons and quests set to “challenge even the most battle-hardened RPG” fans according to the official inXile post.

This isn’t the first interactive smart device gaming experience that has been released, previously a version of The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim came to Alexa allowing players to adventure through an interactive voice-activated experience. There is also Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Spartan which allows users to the app to answer in-game questions and history questions as well.
