Tales of Arise x Scarlet Nexus Crossover Collaboration DLC Confirmed

Tales of Arise and Scarlet Nexus will be getting a collaboration in the form of downloadable content for both games. This is the latest crossover content between two very different games setting wise, but fun to see the worlds collide with weapons, gear and accessories. So far screenshots have been teased by Bandai but no release date for the content as of yet.

For Scarlet Nexus, players will get to enjoy items such as the Blazing Sword, broken iron mask that is worn by Alphen and it looks like Hootle will be joining from Tales of Arise as well, as a head accessory. It hasn’t been announced for Scarlet Nexus whether these items will also be free.

So far no dates have been announced for when this DLC will drop for both games.

What is Tales of Arise?

In case you missed it, Tales of Arise was released last year in September, being the 17th entry in the main series of games. A story of two characters from different worlds, come together to embark upon a journey. Alphen “the man in the iron mask” is a slave under the Rena empire, but quickly gets caught up in the quest to help Shionne, a prisoner who escapes the clutches of her guards using some extraordinary powers. Plus Alphen doesn’t really remember who he is, so there’s a whole “who am I?” story to unravel.

The combat is fast-paced action, with party-switching with the use of Boost Attacks and Mystic Artes. The game is more fantasy focused, and we gave it an 8.6 in our Tales of Arise review as it has to lot to offer with over 40 hours of content and fun gameplay.

Tales of Arise has also received post-launch content such as the premium Sword Art Online DLC crossover and new difficulty modes.

The title reached over one million copies sold in September last year, becoming the fastest-selling game in the Tales franchise which is a great milestone to be achieved so quickly.

What is Scarlet Nexus?

Scarlet Nexus was released in June of last year, introducing a brand new “brain-punk” IP which is very anime-inspired. A group of characters that find themselves in worrying times as strange enemies known as “The Others” plague the streets in this reimagining of Japan.

Combat is fast-paced using psionic powers such as TeleportationInvisibility, and Pyrokinetics, as well as Telekinesis. Throw objects with your mind, and briefly swap to different characters to use their powers. The title has a lot of storytelling and in true JRPG style lets you hang out with different characters back at the base, and even gift items.

Scarlet Nexus has also received post-launch updates including new gameplay options, new camera, further options for enemy lock-on aim assist and more. The developer has also stated they want to continue the IP with a Scarlet Nexus sequel but with a more mature focus.
