Today Netflix announced that Stranger Things Season 2 is coming October 27th to the streaming service. The new season will continue the events of the Dungeons and Dragons (among other great geek things) inspired TV show that was wildly popular when it debuted last July. In the first season, when a young boy vanishes, a small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one strange little girl. A group of misfit friends take their tabletop adventure into real life to discover a world much more strange than their wildest imaginations.

Without going into spoilers (go watch it already!), season 2 is set in the town of Hawkins, Indiana in 1984, a year after the first season took place, and a short description notes that a “bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.” To mark the announcement Netflix has released an awesome poster:

Not finished yet, the official Stranger Things Twitter account shared the following teaser video:

A storm is coming. And it’s probably going to be creepy as fuck, if season 1 was any indication. Luckily, we have 3 months to steel ourselves in preparation. Thoughts on the Stranger Things Season 2 release date, poster and teaser? Sound off in the comments.
