Stellar Blade Unveils Nier DLC and a Special Update

Stellar Blade unveils the Nier DLC, launching on November 20, along with a patch that adds brand-new content. The game from Shift Up has been a standout release for PS5 in a year with few exclusives. Alongside intense action and top-tier visuals, this new title doesn’t hide its inspiration from Nier, the cult favorite released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017.

Stellar Blade x Nier Automata

After the director of Nier expressed his admiration for Stellar Blade, the long-awaited collaboration between the two titles finally arrives through a DLC packed with surprises.

Starting November 20, PS5 players will see what this collaboration between Nier: Automata creator Yoko Taro and Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung Tae has to offer.

Emil, the most unique character from Nier, returns with the voice of Maii Kadowaki, setting up his own shop within Stellar Blade via a DLC.

New Features

Eleven new items inspired by Nier: Automata will be available to all players at Emil’s shop, blending elements from both games for a unique aesthetic.

Additionally, the promised Photo Mode finally arrives in Stellar Blade through a new free update, with a range of filters, lenses, and options for capturing unforgettable images. The Photo Mode allows snapshots of environments, intense battles, or relaxing moments with Eve, in any of her outfits.

Speaking of outfits, the update adds four new costumes for Stellar Blade‘s protagonist, as well as a special accessory: the Legacy Symbol, which alters the look and presentation of the Tachy Mode when Eve equips it.

The update also introduces a much-requested fan feature: players can now not only choose the length of Eve’s ponytail but can even remove it entirely.

From now on, auto-targeting and ballistic correction activate with enemy elimination abilities, making for even more thrilling encounters.

All this content, arriving November 20, is the studio’s way of thanking fans for their support. And we’ll be enjoying it in the best quality, as Stellar Blade is one of the first games enhanced for the PS5 Pro.
