Dark Souls 3 is, once again, being sold at a reasonably price. Unfortunately, once again, there is no discount on the DLC.
Personally I’m maybe 2/3 of the way through the game. I don’t know know where the ideal transition point to the DLC was, but that’s when I got bored (having complete DS1, 2 and Bloodborne and most of the related DLC over the previous 2 years probably didn’t help). If I could pick up the DLC cheap I’ve probably had a long enough break to enjoy the 2 DLCs and 1/3 of the original campaign over a handful of long sessions.
If FromSoft were the only developer in the world it might be easier for them, but there are plenty of other cheap games out there that look good, including some “souls-like” games such as “Hollow Night” and games I picked up during this steam sale such as “Divinity Original Sin 2” (it was only $5 off, but that’s better than nothing).
