During the Bethesda and Xbox joint livestream the Starfield release date and trailer were unveiled, plus platforms.

Starfield Release Date Announced; Xbox Console Exclusive and PC

Starfield will be releasing on Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 11th, 2022. Along with the launch date announcement a trailer was revealed, finally unveiling some official Starfield in action. Starfield will also be launching day one on Xbox Game Pass.

The trailer was not much more than a teaser but it does give us a look at the game finally, showing the space set universe including the Nova Galatic spaceship interior and the surface of a planet. All footage shown uses the in-game alpha footage using the Creation Engine 2 according to the trailer. It ends with the spaceship in the process of launching, revealing the release date for the RPG.

Starfield was also revealed to be an Xbox Series X|S console exclusive and will also be releasing on PC. This will probably not be too much of a surprise considering that Bethesda is now under Microsoft. Whether this will be a limited-time exclusive for the console is currently unknown.

Recently Microsoft announced they were “all in” when it comes to gaming and that they would be focusing on Xbox Game Pass which received a number of titles that were announced to be coming to the subscription service.

Bethesda also launched a teaser site for Starfield which doesn’t have a whole lot info at the moment but more information will probably be on its way.
