The mobile ARPG for iOS and Android, titled Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, part of the franchise known on PC, Steam Deck, Xbox, PS4, PS5, and Switch, has encountered a setback. Square Enix has postponed its release to a yet-to-be-announced date.
Although many fans joke that they are “used to waiting” or that “any news is better than no news,” this announcement isn’t exactly something to celebrate.

The Japanese developer and publisher has postponed the action RPG with GPS integration from its previous 2024 release window, now refraining from even providing an estimated launch timeframe.

Many players had been looking forward to experiencing Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link in 2024 while enduring the gap left by Kingdom Hearts 3, but now that hope is dashed.
It has been nearly five years since its release, which came shortly before the pandemic was declared.
Some iPhone users had the chance to join the game’s beta in May, paired with the exciting news that the entire series was available on Steam at discounted prices.
