Souls-like Metroidvania Biomorph Announced for Switch and PC
Lucid Dreams Studio has announced a new project called BIOMORPH which takes inspiration from soulslikes and metroidvania. The title will be releasing in 2023 for PC and Switch.
Players will embark upon a journey through a varied world full of platforming, deadly monsters and using their powers to explore. While destroying creatures may rid them for now, they will return with new and even “more threatening powers” according to the Steam page.

Leveling up our character by visiting vast areas, collecting further abilities, mementos and blueprints. The journey will uncover surprising truths about the hero’s origin story, some being quite alarming.
Features of the game include a challenging AI system, and a choice of weapons at your disposal including melee and ranged weapons. The metroidvania promises a vast world and the opportunity to personalise a village by helping to rebuild the city of Blightmoor, making the place feel homier (despite the name).
You can check out the trailer below showing of some of the gameplay, cutscenes and even some of the foes you’ll face. The main character looks to be cat-like bat creature with a host of abilities slightly reminiscent of Biomutant but with a 2D Hollow Knight aesthetic.
Biomorph will be coming to PC via Steam and Switch in 2023.
