After leaving SEGA in 2006, Yuji Naka formed his own independent studio; Prope.  Some of his studio’s main releases since then have been Let’s Tap in 2008 for the Wii, Digimon All Star Rumble for the Xb0x 360 and PlayStation 3 and Digimon Adventure for the PlayStation Portable.

“Just a quick note to let you know, I joined SQUARE ENIX in January. I’m joining game development as before, and strive to develop games at SQUARE ENIX. I aim to develop an enjoyable game, please look forward to it.” – Yuji Naka, via Twitter

Just an average JRPG adventuring party. There’s a teenage lead with spiky hair, a burlier fighter and an annoying sidekick.

It will be interesting to see whether Yuji Naka is involved with one of the core Square Enix titles such as Final Fantasy or whether he will be developing more of an old school throwback RPG such as I Am Setsuna and Lost Sphear.

Will we see Yuji Naka developing one of Square Enix’s cuter properties, such as the Chocobo series?
