At the opening gala of Gamescom 2024, Tim Miller, director of the first ‘Deadpool’ movie, ‘Terminator: Dark Fate,’ and the mind behind Netflix’s ‘Love, Death + Robots,’ made a completely unexpected announcement: ‘Secret Level,’ a new series produced by Amazon focused on video games.

This ambitious new project, which already has a release date set on Prime Video, will consist of 15 episodes and cover titles such as ‘God of War,’ ‘Mega Man,’ ‘Sifu,’ and ‘Spelunky.’ Now, thanks to a leak reported by Eurogamer, it has been revealed that the series will also feature a wide array of Hollywood stars to bring the characters in this animated anthology universe to life.

The leak comes from a now-deleted trailer that revealed the involvement of stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Keanu Reeves, which undoubtedly shows that Amazon aims to deliver top-tier quality for this highly anticipated series, set to stream on December 10, just around the corner.

Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, issued a statement expressing his excitement for this series led by the aforementioned Tim Miller and Blur Studio: “Secret Level weaves a tapestry of iconic games across multiple mediums to tell a series of unique and captivating stories,” he remarked.

“Created and directed by Tim Miller, Blur Studio, and supervising director Dave Wilson, each episode will take our global Prime Video customers on a completely new journey with stunning animation and imaginative storytelling.”
