Salt and Sanctuary Released on PC

Indie hit Salt and Sanctuary from Ska Studios is now available for players on PC. It comes with a release discount of 10% to bring it down to 16.19 USD and will be 17.99 USD on March 24th. Head on over to the game’s Steam page to check out the minimum requirements and buy.

Explore a haunting, punishing island in this stylized 2D action RPG. Salt and Sanctuary combines fast and brutal 2D combat with richly developed RPG mechanics in a cursed realm of forgotten cities, blood-soaked dungeons, and desecrated monuments.

The 2D hardcore action RPG with a distinct Dark Souls flavor features over 600 unique items and will be immediately appealing to players who love extensive character building, deep, stylized combat, rewarding exploration and challenging enemies as well as some awesome hand drawn artwork and environments. Initially developed as a single player experience, the game features local Co-op and PvP for you and your favorite couch partner/adversary as well as full controller support for those gamers who prefer to eschew the mouse and keyboard. Check out our launch night livestream with Ska Studios back in March to get an idea of the side scrolling brutality to expect:

We have loved our time with the game so far, even in the midst of playing Dark Souls 3, and there is still much left to do and discover. 1. So just a quick question; can we bring people in like DkS (in that my friend from five states away can join me for Jolly cooperation) or is it just split screen?

Steam page is rather fuzzy on that fact.

  2. I think I might pick it up just so I don’t have to turn on my PS4 to go between Dark Souls 3 and S&S.

Ah, it’s good to be lazy.

  3. It’ll go down in price in march? Like, next year?

Also, any news about a Vita release?
