S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 the highly anticipated post-apocalyptic RPG from GSC Game World arrives on November 20th for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass. We now know when we can start playing.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Global Launch Times
It’s been over 15 years since we first played S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and we’ve been able to relive those old experiences thanks to the Legends of the Zone compilation, available for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
Now, it’s time to reconnect with the post-apocalyptic saga in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the long-awaited sequel that has been in development for years by GSC Game World.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has officially confirmed mod support on all platforms, as well as preload dates, game size (a whopping 160 GB), and system requirements for various PC configurations.
Its official release is set for Wednesday, November 20, 2024, available in stores, on Game Pass, and via NVIDIA GeForce Now.
When Can You Start Playing?
Through their official Twitter/X account, GSC Game World has announced the exact times players can start playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

The global launch will take place on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. However, some regions may need to wait until November 21.
Many had hoped the game would unlock at midnight on November 19-20, but this will not be the case. The release schedule applies to all versions, whether on Xbox, Windows, Steam, Epic Store, GOG, or NVIDIA GeForce Now.
Unfortunately, GSC Game World’s title will not be eligible for The Game Awards 2024, as the nominees will be announced today, Monday, November 18.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is one of the most anticipated games of 2024, and starting November 20, it will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Microsoft Store, Steam, Epic Store, and GOG), NVIDIA GeForce Now, Game Pass Standard, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Ultimate.
