Code Vein
IGN with their first look has revealed exclusive gameplay footage of Bandai Namco’s upcoming souls-like game Code Vein. Bandai Namco’s new IP is being developed by the team behind the God Eater, and features a mix of souls-like mechanics with anime style graphics. During the gameplay by IGN, we get to see more interesting mechanics that are very reminiscent of Bloodborne and Dark Souls, particularly in animation and character movements. There will be more content coming out this month, particularly as Bandai Namco is scheduling events around TGS. We will be attending the event and we’ll get our own hands-on time with the game and be able to share our thoughts with you guys! Check out the break down in our article.

In this new graphics comparison trailer, the footage compares the visual particle effects of the skills and lighting improvements between the Playstation console generations, which you can discern the differences for yourself.
Capcom has also released Vocations Overview trailers for the Mage and Strider class. The trailers puts the spotlight on six out of the nine vocations that you can select in the game. The Mage Vocations Overview showcases the Mage, the Sorcerer and the Mystic Knight. These vocations specializes in manipulating and wielding magic. Destiny 2
Destiny 2 launched for Xbox One and PS4 this past week to much anticipation, and players could barely get online as millions of guardians overloaded Bungie’s servers attempting to log in. PC players will have to wait until nearly Halloween before they get to play, as it doesn’t launch for them until October 24th. Ouch.
Bungie and Sony Interactive Entertainment also launched a new trailer for the online first person shooter. The new trailer showcases the game’s Lost Sectors, a new addition to Destiny 2 which are these hidden areas that can be found across the game’s maps and are full of enemies to fight and loot garnering you a cache code for some goodies.
Absolver
We reviewed the martial arts based Action RPG Absolver, by Sloclap and Devolver Digital. Overall, Absolver seems to be a conflict of two games. In one corner you have the “Souls-like” world to explore cooperatively or competitively with other players, that seems to be the original idea of the developers. And in the other you have a hardcore fighting game that doesn’t need a rich open world at all in order to be successful, which seems to be what Absolver evolved into. Many players will feel short-changed that the former was sacrificed to make way for the latter, and I anticipate that this game will have an extremely niche player-base. For 29.99 USD Absolver is slightly overpriced, but if you really enjoy a good fighting game, then this one is right on the mark. Read our full review on the blog or watch the accompanying video for a breakdown of the game.
The Wticher 3
CD Projekt Red has released a new video featuring Geralt of Rivia himself sending a letter, celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Witcher series. With The Witcher series coing to a close, this special video was made to thank everyone who has supported the company and their game. Though his journey and story may have come to an end, the memories and adventures we shared with Geralt shall always be remembered. Not gonna lie, I got teary eyed while listening to him.
Tyranny
Paradox and Obsidian released their first full blown expansion for the CRPG Tyranny, where players take on the role of the villains. Bastard’s Wound is now available on Steam for 14.99 USD and features a brand new zone for players to explore and some side quests that further explain and develop the companions who accompany you in your travels. Check out the Blog soon for our review of this unique CRPG’s expansion.
