Rockstar has revealed the release date for Red Dead Redemption 2, which will be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles later this year. There is no word yet as to when there will be a PC release.
“”Some trees flourish, others die. Some cattle grow strong, others are taken by wolves. Some men are born rich enough and dumb enough to enjoy their lives. Ain’t nothing fair. You know that.”” – John Marston, Red Dead Redemption
Red Dead Redemption 2 release date revealed
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be heading to consoles on the October 26, so you’ve not got long to wait until you get to be a rootin’ tootin’ cowboy again. Check out the trailer below.
The original was a huge hit both critically (averaging 95% on Metacritic) and commercially when it was released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, so it only seemed like a matter of time until we got a sequel. I just didn’t expect to have to wait so long for it.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel to Red Dead Redemption which focuses on Dutch’s gang, so there is a chance that you may see John Marston appear in the game at some point. There has been a lot of speculation from fans that this may be the case. So far there has been no official confirmation from Rockstar regarding this.
