This is a Rift 2.5 Guide to endgame content. Congratulations on your last Rift Ding! You are at end game!!
You also probably suck because your gear is for questing and easy content and the evil Group Finder won’t allow you to get into dungeons.
To help everyone get an easier start, here is some useful information compiled from Rift Forums, Rift Head, Magelo, Zam, and a bunch of blogs and smaller Rift sites
Rift Endgame Currencies
Rift Infinity Stone
Earned by completing Carnage Quests, Instant Adventures, Hunt Rifts and Dailies in Ashora and Steppes of Infinity; defeating rares and completing Zone events in Kingsward, Morban, Ashora, Steepes of Infinity and The Dendrome.
Do not buy the World Vendor Gear Set. Instead save your stones for:
♦ Vendor room from Danew Yoder: Synergy Crystals – Gives your transplanar armor its bonuses!
♦ Vendor Room from Piotyr Golyadkin: Capes. You need Venerated Reputation with the Torvan Hunters
♦ Vendor Room from Piotyr Golyadkin: Lesser Essences. These are upgradable and THE BEST IN GAME You need Venerated Reputation with Torvan Hunters
♦ Vendor Room from Kikilani Fremda: Lesser Essences. These are upgradable and THE BEST IN GAME You need Venerated Reputation with the Lycini
♦ Vendor Room from Kikilani Fremda: +50 Resistance Sigil Runes. These are upgradable and THE BEST IN GAME You need Decorated Reputation with the Lycini
Rift Empyreal Slayer’s Mark
Earned by completing Random Daily Expert Dungeons and Chronicles (limited per day: 1 charge = 400 marks)
You can buy your Empyreal Slayer Armor from Urbo Sezono – This is a stat strong, upgradable set that then activates your Synergy Crystal bonus.
Rift Frozen Eclipse Stone
Earned by defeating raid level mobs and therefore gives you access to some of the best gear in game. Weekly cap of 4,600 marks (even if you use buffs, anything above cap will not be counted)
- Group: Random Daily Expert Dungeons give 50 Marks per daily expert (350 a week)
- Raid: Triumph of the Dragon Queen (10 Man), Frozen Tempest (20 Man), Endless Eclipse (20 Man), Grim Awakening (10 Man)
You can buy your Desolate Armor from Nox Alar – This has the best stats and upgradable set (to “relic” gear with items that drop from Hardmode Encounters, Crucia and Regulos) that then activates your Raid Synergy Crystal bonuses.
What to do first at Rift Endgame
You need 300 Hit/Thoughness to get into expert dungeons. Your first step towards it will be to CRAFT. Ask in guild for ranked crafters that can make you gear, you will want augments in them so be ready to shell out copious platinum to make it happen (sometimes 200-300p a piece)
- Craft and buy:
- Rings = Each crafted ring will add 53 HIT and give you better stats based on AUGMENTS
- Helmet = Crafted helms will add 53 HIT and give you better stats based on AUGMENTS
- Weapon = One hand weapons add 40-53 HIT, Two Handed ones add 80-106 HIT and give you better stats based on AUGMENTS
- Essences = Check AH for cheap and much better than what you have. It will make a huge stat difference!
- Additional: Belts will give you lots of stats, look for them! + Runecrafters can make you armor enhancements. Ask Fex for help. Be willing to contribute with mats.
- Solo and duo Chronicles
are easy and fast. Press J to access the list. There is two that you want to do everyday
- A Hero Rises – Solo
Rewards: Infinity Stones, Empyreal Slayer Marks and Reputation of your choice
Gear: Full list here
Upgrades: Frozen Lightning and/or Soul of the Machine
- Hive Kaaz’Gfuu: Queens Gambit – Duo
Rewards: Infinity Stones, Empyreal Slayer Marks, Occasional Frozen Eclypse Stones and Reputation of your choice
Extra: A random chest spawns at different locations throughout the chronicle sometimes, it will drop either 200-300 Infinity Stones or Empyreal Slayers Marks
What to do at Rift Level 60
- Run Instant Adventures:
(Rewards: Infinity Stones) and do World Events in Ashora, Dendrome, Kingsward, Morban and Steepes of Infinity (Rewards: 300-600 Infinity Stones and 10 Crystalized Insight)
- Hunt Rifts
You can visit Cora Temarin: Hunt Lures and purchase starter lures that allow you to summon specific Rifts. Basic Hunt Rifts are easy to solo and have achievements, but more importantly they allow you to purchase Great Hunt Lures! You should pick up and complete the quest Hunting Heralds to receive extra rewards.
Basic Rewards: Empyreal Sourcestone that can be used to purchase starter essences and gear up alts.
- Great Hunt Rifts
You can visit Cora Temarin: Great Hunt Lures and purchase starter Great Hunt lures that allow you to summon specific Rifts. Great Hunt Rifts require two or more people.
Basic Rewards: Infinity Stones and special Essences. Higher tier of hunts (levels IV-V) require raid groups and drop some of the best greater essences in the game as well as armor and jewelery.
You will be asked to visit Zirina Yor at Solstice Tower in The Dendrome and she will give you the quest Stronghold Assault. You can complete strongholds by locating them on the landscape and defending the position against waves of challenging enemies. Level 60 Strongholds require more than 2 people and level 62 require a raid of 10 players and more. They can be very challenging so leave this for when you are grouped with good players.
Basic Rewards: Infinity Stones and special Essences.
As with Mathosia, Dusken and Brevane have hidden caches on hard to access areas and peaks. There is an achievement for completion and you can obtain platinum and gear from them.
- Expert Dungeons (once you have 1200 main stat+ 300-400 hit/toughness)
These dungeons will be challenging and require you to be able to DPS hard, Tank efficiently and heal as if you knew how to. The mechanics of each boss and fight require some coordination and will be difficult at first. Do not despair by the PUGs who curse you out and quit, learn the runs with the guild and you’ll slowly get an idea of what is going on.
Rewards: Random Group Finder and Blue/Purple/Upgradable equipment with a list here
- Daily Raid Rifts
Talk to Gemma Arforan at Tempest Bay for the quest Mutant Progeny, Undying Hunger, Crucia’s Chosen or Shards of Infinity. You will need to purchase a special Lure and secure a group of 10-20 people. The cost of the Lure is so high that often the people who host the group and bought the lure try to “reserve” certain loot and “auction” other items that drop for 100+ platinum. You should ask about the loot rules before joining a group, and consider running your own with Guildmates when possible.
- Dendrome Open World Raid Bosses
You can participate in fights against Ahkane the Eternal, The Kaaz’Ra and Senbora the Devourer and obtain special rewards from their weekly quest. The quests are granted by Lady Nessie in Hailol. These raids are very difficult for inexperienced players and pugs will need over 40 people to complete the encounter.
Rewards: Defeat Ahkane, Defeat Senbora, Defeat Kaaz’Ra – The Raider Cache contains 300~ Empyreal Slayer Marks and possibly Raid Epic Items.
