Developer Gunfire Games explains that Remnant 2 is so expansive that players of the Action-RPG shooter won’t discover everything even after 400+ hours into the game.
Remnant 2 Has “Secrets Within Secrets” That Even 400+ Hours Won’t Reveal Everything
This year seems to be about big games, and I’m not talking in terms of popularity. Remnant 2 is an Action-RPG shooter soulslike that has such an expansive world the devs say that even after spending 400+ hours there are still more “secrets” to uncover.
Principal designer Ben Cureton has shared that “Remnant 2 has secrets within secrets within secrets”. Soulslike games tend to leave lore and story for the players to piece together. This shooter sequel seems to be following that path, with many turns and weaves to discover.

However, Gunfire explains that the game still remains player-friendly when it comes to 100 percenting achievements. So for you completionists out there, don’t worry about snagging those trophies. If you’re looking to uncover absolutely everything the game has to offer, well you’ll have to work a little harder on that front. Even the internal developers themselves haven’t seen everything.
For those that love secrets and exploring:

No one has seen or obtained 100% of everything #Remnant2 has to offer. I'm talking about hardcore players with over 400+ hours, reviewers that had early access, even our own internal developers. No one.

Go BIG or Go Home
This year’s major titles including Remnant 2 seem to be offering players not only an immersive experience but expansive ones too. Baldur’s Gate 3’s launch is happening next month, and that has already teased that there are 17,000 endings when considering the number of outcome permeations. Act 1 alone is 33% bigger than the Early Access version. Gone are the days when a single playthrough will purely satisfy a small set of endings. Larian Studios has already shared that a playthrough could take between 75 to 100 hours depending on your playstyle. For completionists maybe 200 or more. Cutscenes alone in the game span 174 hours in total.
Starfield the new major RPG from Bethesda, is going sci-fi and beyond. The game promises over 1000 planets to explore. Space is ever-reaching, and this Action-RPG is going further than the stars are the limit. You can explore everything seen, including the moons. But how detailed are each of these planet variations through its procedurally generated tech? Well according to a recent podcast with Todd Howard and Kinda Funny Xcast, 10% will show signs of life. But considering not only planets to explore but space stations, spaceships and more, that’s quite a bit of space travel.
Remnant 2 also seems like we’ll be sinking plenty of hours to uncover all of its mysteries. As worlds can be Rerolled, with further secrets and puzzles to unlock. As progression is randomised, every playthrough feels like a different experience. So your playthrough may have different scenarios, enemies, dungeons and even layouts when it comes to the map.
We are spoilt for choice when it comes to games this summer. The RPG list is hotting up. Now you will just have to decide which ones you will be diving into (if not all!) and just how many enigmas you’re looking to uncover.

There is a secret room that can appear in sewer a locations that will have you wait 90 minutes for an additional secret location.
The clock tower is another good example, although I have yet to see result from it ringing…
