Red Dead Redemption on PC is Official

Red Dead Redemption on PC will finally become a reality. Rockstar has announced the release of the game after many rumors. We now know all the details about this highly anticipated return.

Red Dead Redemption PC Release Confirmed

An old outlaw comes to PC. Red Dead Redemption will finally be available on PC after a 14-year wait. Rockstar has confirmed the rumors with an official announcement revealing the most important details about this release.

Red Dead Redemption will arrive on PC this coming October 29. The game will be accompanied by the acclaimed Undead Nightmare DLC to give it that touch of horror just in time for Halloween.

Following the re-release of the Wild West game on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, John Marston’s adventure will arrive on Rockstar Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. More information on pre-orders will be provided later this week.

Red Dead Redemption Rides Toward PC

In collaboration with Double Eleven, a studio that has worked on games like Grounded, Limbo, and the very same Red Dead Redemption port on modern consoles, this new version will add PC-specific improvements.

Among the most notable are native 4K resolution at up to 144hz on compatible hardware, compatibility with Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9) monitors, HDR10 support, and full keyboard and mouse functionality.

Additionally, this PC version is compatible with NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 scaling technologies, NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, adjustable draw distances, shadow quality settings, and much more.

For the first time in its history, John Marston’s journey can be enjoyed on PC with all the luxury of details: Red Dead Redemption and its iconic horror and zombie story, Undead Nightmare, will arrive on PC on October 29, Rockstar announced in its official newsletter.

Undoubtedly, this will be great news for PC players who will finally be able to get their hands on one of Rockstar’s best games, a modern classic in the open-world genre. John Marston rides again.

The game took much longer to be ready for PC than its sequel. We recall that Red Dead Redemption 2 also took time to arrive on the platform, but it eventually did. Now we just have to wait and see if GTA 6 will also make it beyond PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
