Sony Interactive Entertainment recently announced in a press release that cumulative sales of their PlayStation 4 console has reached 70.6 million units sold as of December 3rd, 2017. While their PS VR managed to move over 2 million units.
Sony – PlayStation Milestone
Chairman of SIE, Andrew House shared a comment on the milestone saying:
I cannot thank our fans and partners enough. Their support, since the launch of very first PlayStation in 1994, has helped to make PlayStation one of the biggest console gaming network in the world. We will continue to work closely with partners to maintain this momentum and remain steadfast in making PS4 the best place to play.
Other than hardware, the company also revealed the software side of things from the aforementioned systems. With the PS VR having more than 130 upcoming gaming and video content.
