Obsidian Entertainment finally announced a release date today for their highly anticipated sequel to the CRPG Pillars of Eternity with Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. The game will leave Early Access, which it has been in since November of last year, and have a full blown release on April 3rd. The game will be available for PC, MAC, and Linux users at such time. They’ve also revealed some information about their pre-order bonuses and their editions of the game.
Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pre-order Bonuses
Players who pre-order the game before April 3rd will receive The Captains Footlocker which comes with St. Drogga’s Skull (In-Game Item), Beakhead, the Hawk (In-Game Pet), and Black Flag (Ship Customization). Those who pre-order the game aren’t the only ones who will be getting the Captain’s Footlocker items. Those who Backed the campaign on Fig, will also receive the pre-order items on launch day!

Too bad it’s Obsidian.
Still, it’s not like I’m lacking for currently owned great games I bought at GoG and Steam over the holidays (including Divinity Original Sin 2). This year doesn’t seem as front-loaded for me in terms of new games, but that’s not because I don’t intend to get Monster Hunter World, just that I’m waiting for it on PC.
Plus there’s the minor inconvenience that my PC is pretty much dead, and I’m having a hard time biting the bullet on a new PC given that SSD, memory and, now, GPU prices have all gone through the roof.
Omg the start of this year is off the charts. I don’t know how I’m gonna make time for all of these rpgs crammed into the first 6 months
