Nioh Releases New Dragon of the North Gameplay Trailer

Koei Tecmo has released a new trailer for Nioh’s Dragon of the North DLC, which is releasing tomorrow for the PS4 exclusive. Check out the trailer below (in Japanese):

The trailer takes a look at some to the new gameplay coming in the first paid content for the samurai-meets-Souls game, and shows some of the new NPCs, enemies, guardian spirits and locations that you will be encountering. Dragon of the North will take place in the Oshu region and introduce the ambitious ruler, Masamune Date, also known as the “One-Eyed Dragon”. Just when you thought that peace was finally restored in Japan, we’ve now begun to hear troubling rumors that the One-Eyed Dragon is secretly gathering spirit stones, setting a stage for more unrest and mayhem to take hold.

These trailer are always thrilling affairs. Looking forward to the DLC? Tomorrow also brings a free update that will introduce the long awaited PvP mode as well as some new character skins for players. Keep checking in with us for more!

It didn’t go on sale when they released the patch. It should be up now, however.

  2. Would be nice if the game would allow me to buy it. It tells me to press square to buy the dragon of the north, takes me to the nioh game, and it still doesn’t list the dlc on there to buy. Was looking forward to playing this is anyone else having this issue after 1.08 downloaded.

    I’ve been thinking now.
Tome + Pirate kitty + big sword = awesomeness!

  4. Time to be a real kensei and kill those demons with my giant nippon steel oodachi.

  5. Ninja pirate cat as a guardian spirit, an odachi, and a few new enemies to fight… And everything takes place in a new area? Woo! I tried watching the live stream they had, but I only can catch fragments of Japanese and couldn’t really pay attention to anything.

A few more hours and it drops…
