Nioh 2 Gets Darkness in the Capital DLC This October

The second DLC for Nioh 2 called Darkness in the Capital is arriving on October 15th on PS4. The new DLC will add a number of new additions including several new storylines to experience, plus some new challenging bosses to test your mettle. It also adds new Weapons, Armor, Yokai, Guardian Spirits, Soul Cores and much more. Players will be able to pick up new armor sets. The new weapon will focus on “hand-to-hand combat”.

In this new expansion players will head to Kyoto where a shrine will transport them to the Heian Period. It is here where they will be joined by some heroes, to team up and fight hordes of Yokai. There is also a brief description from the Playstation Blog:

Contrary to its name “Heian Palace,” which means peace and tranquility, ancient Kyoto was terrorized by countless Yokai during this time period. However, there existed many heroes who were brave enough to oppose these demons. Among them were the most preeminent demon slayer and the strongest sorcerer in history, along with their subordinates and colleagues fighting at their side.

More details will be released as we get closer to October, but it sounds to be an exciting new DLC for Nioh 2 fans.

Nioh 2 is currently available to play on PS4, and the latest expansion Darkness in the Capital will release on October 15th, which will be available separately or as part of the Nioh 2 Season Pass.
