NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition Confirmed by Yoko Taro

You might remember not long ago that Nier: Automata was revealed to get getting a Game of the YoRHa edition which was leaked via an ESRB rating. The GOTY edition has been confirmed by The Director Yoko Taro.

The game has now sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide making NieR: Automata a huge hit with its fast paced action combat and intriguing android storyline. It only seems fitting it would be getting a game of the year edition or Game of the YoRHa edition.

Director Yoko Taro now confirms that the ESRB rating listing was not an error and the edition will be making its way to fans. But not everything is exactly straight forward in the announcement, Taro has left some clues involving the digits “5211”, what these numbers imply could be something to do with the release date or something else entirely. He teases fans that this number is “devoid of meaning” in his cryptic tweet:

However, a recent tweet by the Japanese NieR Twitter account suggests this number isn’t to do with a release date as they share that it will be released on Thursday 21st February 2019, although this could be the Japanese release date. They also detail that it will be receiving a physical edition including previous DLC content.
