Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Delayed Again!

Bandai Namco has just issued an announcement stating that the much-awaited Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom  JRPG, will be delayed to March 23rd, 2018 from its previous January 19th, 2018 release date.

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom – Still Coming Next Year!

CEO and President of studio Level-5 Akihiro Hino, came out in a press release explaining that the reasons behind the delay were due to the team working on newly implemented modes, which required a bit more time to be ready. The president also assured that details on what they are and such will be revealed soon.

Initially, Ni No Kuni II  was slated for a launch on November 10th of this year, but was postponed to January, 2018 as a result of the game needing more polish. You can read the full statement from Akihiro Hino on the recent delay, down below.

However, with innovation and new ideas comes the need to ensure everything works together in a fun and cohesive way; this means we’ll need a bit more time to make sure the entire Ni no Kuni II  experience meets our highest quality standards. So today, I would like to ask for everyone’s patience as we move Ni no Kuni II’s  worldwide release date to March 23, 2018. We will be sharing more news about Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom  in the coming weeks and months as we move closer to our new launch date. On behalf of everyone at Level-5, I want to thank you all for your patience and continued support.

Although I did enjoy the original, I’m not on board with those that considered it the greatest JRPG ever, or even the greatest JRPG of the PS3. It borrowed too heavily from Pokemon for me to give it that much praise.

Conversely, looks to be both more original (though arguably in this case there’s a bit of a Pikmin vibe) and more entertaining. Still, my playlist is deep enough I’d definitely prefer they take as long as they need to.
